Nicky"s room

I really wanted my son's room to be something special.  Once we bought our house this past October, I was so excited because that meant I could actually paint on his walls!  Here are some of the things I've done so far:

I decided to paint a tree in the corner of his room where his crib (now toddler bed) is.  I started out with just the basic shape in basic brown, the started adding 4 different shades of brown to add texture and depth. 

Once the body of the tree was finished I started on the leaves, using 3 different shades of green and 3 different textured sponges. 

I thought it would be cute to "carve" his initials in to the tree. 

I also decided to paint his ceiling blue and add clouds to look like a nice summer's day. There are also hundreds upon hundreds of glow in the dark stars I put up correctly according to the constellation charts, but you can't really see them.
